Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified Physiotherapy as an Independent Practice / Profession and out of the Paramedical stream. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a four year undergraduate professional degree programme with six months compulsory rotating internship. Eligibility
- Must complete +2 in science stream.
- Should have completed +12 having science, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates who have completed class 12th with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to BPT medical course.
- Candidates from General category should passed with a minimum of 45%.
- For candidates belonging to reserved community should qualify marks of 40% instead of 45% as above.
Masters of Physiotherapy (MPT)
Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a Postgraduate Physiotherapy Programme which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. MPT deals with wide range of topics including, Physiotherapy, Electrophysiology, Neurology. MPT Degree has specialisation in Musculoskeletal Disorders Sports (MPT MSD), MPT Neurological and Psychosomatic, MPT in Neurology, MPT Cardio-Pulmonary Science, MPT Paediatric Physiotherapy, MPT Orthopaedics, MPT Community Rehabilitation, Community Physiotherapy (MPT – CP) .Duration of the course is 2 years. Eligibility Criteria : Aggregate 50% score in BPT from a recognized Board or University.
Musculoskeletal Disorders Sports (MPT MSD)
Musculoskeletal Disorders Sports (MPT MSD) is a Postgraduate Physiotherapy Programme which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. It deals with the detailed study of anatomy, Physiology, pharmacology and medical conditions of the patient. Also learn in detail about the treatments of the injuries and conditions that affect muscles, soft issues or joints during sports injury. MPT Neurological and Psychosomatic
MPT Neurological and Psychosomatic is a Postgraduate Physiotherapy Programme which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. MPT Neurological and Psychosomatic deals with the study of trainings to students to rehabilitate the patients with Neurological and Psychosomatic disorders using the techniques of physiotherapy. MPT Neurological and Psychosomatic is a two year Postgraduate Physiotherapy Programme which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. MPT Cardio-Pulmonary Science/Cardio- Respiratory Science is a branch of medical science and physiotherapy treatment relating to heart and lungs.
